  1. perceive

  deceive

  例:Her husband had been deceiving her for years.

  ②(~ yourself) to refuse to admit to yourself that sth unpleasant is true 欺骗(自己)

  例:You're deceiving yourself if you think he'll change his mind.

  例:Unless my eyes deceive me, that's his wife.

  2. spot  

  (not used in the progressive tenses 不用于进行时) to see or notice a person or thing, especially suddenly or when it is not easy to do so 看见;看出;注意到;发现

  例:I finally spotted my friend in the crowd.
