old man 是什么意思？
先来听首歌，Old Man，这是由尼尔·杨 （Neil Young 全名：Neil Percival Young，尼尔·珀西瓦尔·杨）演唱的一首歌曲。本曲在2014年上映的电影《敢死队3》片尾被四位新人翻唱。

Old Man，“老人”or“父亲”，你听懂了吗？再听一遍，“我的老父亲”。

有些人称它们的父亲、丈夫或男性朋友为“老头儿”;老爸;丈夫（非正式用语）

old school 是什么意思？
Old School，字面理解，“school”就是“学校”的意思，老派前辈谦虚，称自己是该风格school（学校）的学生。
The old school is any group of people who are traditionalists: they do things the way they've been done in the past.
Old school means something close to old-fashioned, but it’s a term with more pride behind it. If someone says, “I’m old school,” they’re saying they do it like it used to be done, which they believe was a better way. In mob movies, the old school usually thinks they’re better than the younger criminals. An old school teacher might prefer not to use computers in class. Old school，意指复古派、守旧派，即“传统经典”。而如今，它更泛指为一种复古文化倾向、态度。
七八十年代纽约街头的嘻哈式风格是 old school 风格的，之后出现new school 风格，简单的说，你要穿出old school运动风就要穿回70、80年代的纽约街头感。
old girl, old lady, old wife, old woman
old girl, old lady, old wife, old woman：这四者都指“女人”,但意思和用法并不相同:
old girl 一般用于子女对母亲或丈夫对妻子的昵称,也可用于对任何年龄女子的爱称(如老大姐),有时则用于贬义,是一种讽刺或不尊敬的称呼。在英国学校中可指“女校友”“女毕业生”。old girl还可用作母马的爱称,常译为“老伙计”。
old lady 和 old wife 同义,相当于汉语中的“老伴”“老婆”,用于比喻可指“婆婆妈妈的人”。
old woman 是口语用语,在子女与母亲间或夫妻间使用时意思同old girl。用于比喻可指“畏畏缩缩,行为像女人或办事缺乏主动性的男人”。
