　　How are you getting on with your life recently? Since you asked me to recommend a suitable place to learn Chinese in your last letter, I’d like to introduce Xi’an to you for the following reasons.

　　To begin with,there area host of international language schools where you can participate in various training lessons to enhance you Chinese language ability soon. In addition, as one of the ancient capitals of China, Xi’an is filled with historical museums where you can learn profound and extensive Chinese culture, which is conducive to your language study. Therefore, you are bound to improve Chinese in a short time by getting access to professional training and daily cultural exposure.

　　In a word, I strongly believe that you will have a wonderful learning time here. If you need more information about Xi’an, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Wish everything goes well with you.

　　思路分析：

　　本篇作文是给朋友的书信，目的在于推荐一个学习汉语的地方。写作时要注意书信格式，正文前有称呼，后有署名。同时，要选用合适的语域，语言不要太过正式。

　　写完称呼后，第一段简单问候并明确指出推荐城市为西安。第二段阐明两点推荐理由：第一点，西安有很多语言学校；第二点，西安有很多历史遗迹，有利于了解中国文化, 从而促进汉语学习。第三段，结尾处表达自己的期盼和祝福。最后切记署名。

　　语言分析：

　　1.第一段表明写作目的中的，“I would like to do sth.”意为“我想要做某事”，本文是写给朋友的书信，可以用缩写形式I would=I'd. 此句，也可改写为“I’m writing to …”或者“The purpose of my letter is to…”

　　2.第二段第一句“…there are a host of international language schools where you can … soon.”主句为“there be”句型，school后面是由where引导的定语从句。

　　3.第二段第二句中“… as one of the ancient capitals of China”是状语，“Xi’an is filled with historical museums”为主句,“where you can learn profound and extensive Chinese culture”是定语从句，用于修饰和限定“museums”，其中where=in which，而后面的“which is conducive to your language study”是定语从句，其中“which”指代逗号之前的内容。

　　4.第二段第三句中“be bound to”意为“一定”；“getaccess to”意为“有机会获得”；“cultural exposure”意为“文化接触/体验”

　　5.第三段中“don’t hesitate to do sth.”意为“不要犹豫做某事”。
