　　The lotus is one of the most famous flowers in China. There are a lot of lakes and ponds suitable for the lotus to grow in China. The color of lotus is bright. In summer, the lotus blooms in the morning and closes in the evening. It can stay open for two or three months, which attracts the visitors from different places of China. The lotus has the power to make the water green, beautify the court, purify the water, alleviate the pollution, improve the environment and so on. It has no fear for the sunlight, symbolizing purity and elegance, and it is often used to depict people’s noble qualities. The lotus is always a significant theme for the creation of poets and artists. The place where the lotus blooms is also the one which many fans of photography pay frequent visit to.
