　　梅花(plum blossom)位居中国十大名花之首，源于中国南方，已有三千多年的栽培和种植历史。隆冬时节，五颜六色的梅花不畏严寒，迎着风雪傲然绽放。在中国传统文化中，梅花象征着坚强、纯洁、高雅、激励人们不畏艰难、砥砺前行。自古以来，许多诗人和画家从梅花中获取灵感，创作了无数不朽的作品。普通大众也都喜爱梅花，春节期间常用于家庭装饰。南京市已将梅花定为市花，每年举办梅花节，成千上万的人冒着严寒到梅花山踏雪赏梅。

　　Plum Blossom, being the top-ranked of ten famous flowers in China and originating from southern China, has over three thousand years’ history of cultivation and planting. During the middle of winter, colorful plum blossoms bloom proudly facing the wind and snow. In Chinese traditions and cultures, plum blossoms, symbolizing firmness, purity and elegance, inspire people with encouragement to move forward without fear of danger and difficulty. Since ancient times, many poets and artists have acquired inspirations from plum blossoms and have created numerous eternal works. Ordinary people are also fond of plum blossoms and use them to make house decorations during the Spring Festival. In addition, plum blossoms have been defined as city flowers in the city of Nanjing, where the Plum Blossom Festival is held every year. Tens of thousands of people stroll in the snow and appreciate the flowers on Plum Blossom Hill in such cold weather.

　　本篇试题难度较高，属于中国传统文化类题目，历年翻译真题中考查传统题目不多，而且专门介绍花类文本更不多见。在今年六月刚刚考查过传统类文章后，12月再次考查，说明命题委员会对中国传统文化类型文本的高度重视。本次翻译中融合了很多历年翻译真题的内容，其中包括历史、文化、城市、节日等多元化信息。翻译文本中出现很多亮点词汇，如“栽培，隆冬，不畏严寒，坚强，高雅，纯洁，砥砺前行，灵感，踏雪赏梅”等短语，都需要考生在考场中认真思考，并快速反应出较为贴切的翻译。本文第一句话，可以利用非谓语结构把“位居首位和源于南方” 翻译出来，谓语则强调梅花栽培和种植的历史。再比如，不畏严寒，可以用介词withou fear of..这样的短语，梅花的象征，即可译为非谓语symbolizing…. 的形式，也可以用the symbol of…的结构引入，后面的特征为三个名词并列。亮点词如“砥砺前行” 理解为勇敢地前进move forward with encouragement，灵感和激励可以用inspire 和它的名词形式inspiration处理，最后“踏雪赏梅”可以理解为在山中漫步于雪地中stroll in the snow of the hill, “欣赏” 可以选用appreciate。在新东方的六级培训中，对本文的翻译有很多核心词汇提及，本次翻译考查句式不为复杂，但是可以看出六级考试的高度在于考生是否有足够的词汇储备。希望考生能够更加清晰地了解自己，增加词汇量，以面对不同类型的翻译文章。
