　　One reason is in case of problems. For example, they will know something is wrong if we don’t contact them on a regular schedule. They can help fix problems that we can’t, for example, if we get injured and go to the hospital.

　　A second reason is to better appreciate our travels. We must organize our thoughts to describe our experiences. We may forget many details later, so it is better to share stories during the trip.

　　Because we are safer and because we gain a deeper understanding of what we see, I agree that we should keep in touch with friends or family when we travel.
