　　W: Kyle, how did your (8) driver's theory exam go? It was yesterday, right?

　　M: Yes, I prepared itas much as I could, but I was so nervous since it was my second try. The people who worked at the test center were very kind, though. We had a little conversation which calmed me down a bit, and that was just what I needed. Then,after the exam, they printed out my result, but I was afraid to open it until I was outside. 　　Professor:Ah, story theater, tell me about what you've read.

　　Student: Well, it's a form of theater where folk or fairy tales are acted out. It was…eh, introduced,by the director Paul Sills in the 1960s. In Sills's approach, an actor both narrates, and acts out a tale. So, like someone will appear on stage, and then will start narrating a tale, about…say a king, and then the same person will immediately switch to and start acting out the role of the king, with no propsor scenery.

　　首先最显而易见的是词汇，前两门考试的要求分别是高中和四六级词汇，难度较简单并基础。而对于托福听力来说，词汇的要求不仅包括高中和四级，还有因为托福考试会涉及到上课及校园日常的生活场景所以需要补充大量对话及讲座学术词汇。

　　其次从考试时长和文章长度来看，三门考试的时间和长度也是逐渐递增的，从高考听力的十几秒到托福听力的平均3-6分钟，考生需要适应长时间的英语语言环境以及同时处理和记忆大量的信息。另外，文章类型也有所不同，高考听力主要是生活类对话，四六级会涉及到新闻文章等更加专业的内容。托福听力则是这两者的更高难度的结合。
