今天带着大家写三个开头段，接下来认真阅读每一个字，阅读时间为10分钟，高效地运用好你的时间尽（bi）量（xu）一气呵成。

Issue开头段的组成是general statement + thesis statement。general statement就是对题干的综述，paraphrase题干；thesis statement就是你针对这个题目的想法，自己的态度。

开头段最重要的部分应该是thesis statement，考官看你的文章主要看的是你的观点是什么，而不是你用什么的方式引入题干，所以开头的前半部分尽量简单处理或省略，把精力用在能统领整个文章thesis statement上。

例题：

111. In any field- business， education， politics， government， those in power should step down after five years.

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the claim. In developing and supporting your position， be sure to address the most compelling reasons and/or examples that could be used to challenge your position.

破题：

所有issue题目要么模糊，要么绝对，像这个题目就比较绝对因为有any， 所有问题都不能一概而论，我们需要具体问题具体分析。比如，在政界，当权者需要四五年换一届，目的是防止独裁统治。在商界和教育领域，当权者不需要五年换届，因为有的时候当权者的想法实施一段时间之后才能看到效果，而且有能力及想法的商界大亨和教育专家会带领各自的领域有更大的突破。

开头段例题：

EX： This statement goes to the extreme. It could be discussed in different perspectives. Although political leaders should be replaced with a new one after four or five years to guarantee justice of governing for the mass and avoid autocracy， it is still justifiable to keep principals or business tycoon in place for the sake of furthering innovation and revolutionizing the whole industry.

115.Government should rely on their own judgement instead of unquestioningly carry out the will of people they serve.

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position， you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

破题：

这个题目说的太过了，如果政府不考虑民众的想法，只以自己的意志，以自己的决定为转移，那么这样的国家就变成了独裁统治。所以我们依然可以具体问题具体分析这个题目。即：当涉及到民生问题时政府官员需要听取民众的意愿，这样做出来的决定会更亲民；但是当国家遇到经济危机或卷入世界性战争的话，这时确实需要政府当机立断，做出明智的决定带领人民脱离苦海。

开头段：

EX： Any government should not be in dictatorship to oppress people's freedom of speech. In democratic countries， government officials must consider the will and the suggestions among people before implementation of policies concerning living issues and then make a fair decision for most of people in the countries. In contrast， government， at the first place， should assume the responsibility to lift the country out of the economic crisis， political turmoil or even world war they have been involved in.

46. Universities should require everystudent to take a variety of courses outside the students' field of study.

Write a response in which you discuss theextent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain yourreasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting yourposition， describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendationwould or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape yourposition.

破题：

这个题目里的极端词是require+ a variety of， 当然我们上大学后除了自己的专业课之外还要有选修课的学习，题干的建议有合理性，但是require这样的方式太过教条或强迫，学生可以按照自己的意愿和兴趣把学分修满就好，学校无权干涉学生自己的决定。此外，take “a variety of” courses也会有些弊端，即浪费时间+浪费金钱。

开头段：

EX： it is valid for universities to design a myriad of courses outside the students' field of study for students， but they do not have the right to force students to take a series of courses especially they do not have interest in. besides， students could not spare no effort in taking these classes or trainings considering that they must devote themselves to learning their majors deeply and possibly have no sufficient money to put in.
