有些同学关于独立写作工作类话题比较陌生，尤其是语言不知道如何表达。除了要背诵一些关于工作的英文词汇之外，我们还要掌握一些高分短语和句型，因此就需要我们平时的点滴积累，我们来一起学习一下下面这几个短语和句型。

　　1. has found one’s niche (as) 找到了自己擅长的工作或职业

　　例句：My father has found his niche as a high-school basketball coach.

　　2. afford people a sense of achievement给人们成就感

　　例句： Accomplishing the tasks and receiving appreciation from bosses will afford people a sense of achievement.

　　3. get into the swing of things  去努力熟悉或适应身边的事物

　　例句：Changing to a new job can be really stressful and it’ll take a while for you to get into the swing of things.

　　4. keep a balance between work and life 平衡工作和生活

　　例句：In modern competitive society, everyone should learn how to keep a balance between work and life.

　　5  in strenuous search of 努力寻找

　　例句： Many people are in strenuous search of satisfactory jobs that can conform to their interests.

　　一. 高分句型

　　虚拟语气

　　1. 何谓虚拟语气？

　　虚拟语气表示与事实不符的假设。

　　虚拟语气由谓语动词的特殊形式表示出来。

　　2.  一般什么情况下用？

　　托福写作中，一般用在所举例子之后，表示对句子中事实相反，起到强调的作用。

　　3.  三种类型（根据时间关系划分）：

　　A  与过去事实相反

　　结构：If … had (not) done …, …would/could/might (not) have done …

　　例句：

　　The employee worked hard, so he got promotion to be a manager quickly. (一般过去时)

　　If the employee had not worked hard, he would not have gotten promotion to be a manager quickly. （过去完成时）

　　B  与现在事实相反

　　结构：If … were/v-ed(not) …, … would/could/might(not) do ...

　　例句：

　　The employee works hard, so he gets promotion to be a manager quickly.（一般现在时）

　　If the employee did not work hard, he would not get promotion to be a manager quickly.（过去时）

　　C  与将来事实相反

　　结构：If … were(not) to/should (not) do …, ... would/could/might (not) do ....

　　例句：

　　The employee will work hard, so he will get promotion to be a manager quickly. （一般将来时）

　　If the employee should not work hard, he would not get promotion to be a manager quickly.（过去将来时）

　　那么托福独立写作当中具体应该用哪个时态呢？同学们可以根据自己所举例子的时态来选择不同的虚拟语气，起到强调的效果，但是需要坚持一个原则，那就是一定是和事实相反或者将来不期望发生的事情。

　　下面列出了三个时态的句子，同学们可以把这些句子都改成虚拟语气来练习一下。只要经过“刻意练习”，就会完全掌握它，并举一反三的运用它，从而在考试中提高语言表达能力。

　　(1). He chose a job with a high pay, so he made enough money to support his family.

　　(2). He often participates in various part-time jobs, so he accumulates sufficient working experiences and earns a large sum of money.

　　(3). The government will take immediate measures to eliminate the serious environmental pollution, and the public health will improve quickly.
