　　这是一个被大家低估的短语，通常我们汉语中也会使用类似的结构，比如他“上知天文，下知地理”，体现出他知道的东西很多。所以from A to B 这个结构在使用的时候，一要明白A和B是两个具体的例子，二要明白A和B要存在较大的跨度，来体现出各种各样的感觉。我们读几个SAT语法中的例句来感受一下：

　　 Once in the bloodstream, nutrients from the digestive tract travel through the cardiovascular network to the liver and then to many different areas of the body. 　　including 这个借词后面也经常跟例子，体现出前面的概念也包括including后面的内容。

　　 Since late Thursday, people from different backgrounds, including government officials, prominent business figures and ordinary online users, have posted numerous messages expressing their grief for the doctor. 【Internet】

　　 Several cities in the eastern province of Zhejiang, including some sections of Hangzhou, have set limits on how often people can leave their houses, generally allowing one person to leave every few days to buy groceries.

　　使用【e.g., +例子】

　　这种方式一般常见于学术论文中，不建议大家在自己的随笔中使用。实际上e.g.是拉丁语exempli gratia的缩写。一定要注意[1] e.g.要小写e和g [2] e.g.和例子中间要有逗号[3] 一般这个例子都用括号括起来作为插入语。一起来欣赏一下下面的例子：

　　 Should that happen to poor, as-yet unaffected places (e.g., most of South Asia and Africa) the suffering can be great. —“WHO rejects calls to move Olympics over Zika fears”

　　虽然在口语中，like常用于举例子，但在书面语中不太用like举例子，而只是表示像...一样这个意思。我建议你把like这个词从你的花样举例库中删除掉。

　　Consider/Take + something + as an example / for example

　　如果你的例子很大可以用这句话着重引出一下。同时，你需要注意的是这个结构是一个完整的句子，我们下面从语法层面详细讨论一下这个结构和for example的区别。

　　虽然在SAT的OG中只出现一次，但是for example和take something for example的用法还是难倒了很多人。在这里一并总结如下。

　　举例我们有两种方法，一种是for example / for instance这种副词性短语。另一种是take something for example. 这种完整的句子。他们在使用的时候一定要注意其正确的形式。

　　如果是for example / for instance，则与例子用逗号连接。如For example, SVO. 或者S, for example, VO.

　　如果是take something for example则和例子用能隔开句子的标点隔开，如句号，冒号。Take something for example. SVO.

　　同时还要注意Take something for example还有如下变体。

　　Take something.（省略for example）

　　Take something, for example.（ 将for example和take用逗号隔开）

　　Take, for example, something. (将for example作为插入语提前）

　　consider something for example.（将take换成consider）

　　Taking something for example, SVO.（如果把它变成doing做句首修饰与，则用逗号和SVO连接，因为并不是一个完整的句子了。

　　Take something, for example: SVO. （标点符号发生变化，也没问题，因为冒号也可以隔开句子）

　　需要注意如果说了take something for example或任何一种形式，就不能在后句再说for example，因为这样语义重复赘述了。比如，

　　Take A. For example, SVO.

　　这个就是错的。

　　In particular

　　大家经常对于in particular的本质看不透，其实in particular就是举例的意思，只不过举一个特别棒的例子。但是谁在举例的时候不想举最好的例子呢，所以in particular和for example本质上没有区别。
