如果想在雅思写作中拿高分，就要学会在作文中更好地展示自己的论点。
写议论文的时候，可能会涉及到论点的两个方面。
先来看一下从一篇作文中节选的一段话：
University education should be free to everyone, regardless of income.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
下面的这段话论述了作者的观点“教育为什么不应该是免费的”其中一方面：
Firstly, students should be charged because education is becoming more expensive to fund as universities grow in size. Consequently, making students pay may maintain standards and ensure the quality of the teaching. In addition, students benefit from university in terms of higher paid jobs, so it is fair that they pay for at least some of the cost, especially given that the majority of students attending university are from the middle classes. Last but not least, in many countries, there is a shortage of people to do manual jobs such as plumbing and carpentry, so making university more expensive may encourage people to take up these jobs.
这一段写的不错，但其观点却像是作家提出的。
如果想要清楚地表明这些观点不是你提出的，引用这些观点的目的是要在下一段中进行反驳，又或是不想表明自己认同哪种看法，我们要怎样做?
我们来看下面一段，一些过渡性短语在文中已经加红加粗，这些短语会告诉读者，所述观点是引用别人的。
One argument put forward in favour ofcharging students is that education is becoming more expensive to fund as universities grow in size. Consequently, making students pay may maintain standards and ensure the quality of the teaching. In addition, it is argued thatmost students benefit from university in terms of higher paid jobs, so it is fair that they pay for at least some of the cost, especially given that the majority of students attending university are from the middle classes. 这样就清楚地表明了这些观点是别人提出的。
下一段在论述自己的观点时，就可以以下面一句话作为开头：

读者会从中得知你的立场或看法。
下面是一些在写作中可以用到的过渡性短语：
It has been argued that…
Some people claim / argue / believe / think that…
An argument commonly put forward is that…
Those that support (topic) argue / believe / claim that…
Proponents of (topic) argue / believe / claim that…
These arguments have been critisized for several reasons...
除了这些短语外，还可以采用其他方式。
如果想在写作中的高分，就不能仅仅使用这几个短语。
