雅思听力考试中的限定词

　　很多同学会被雅思听力考试中的陷阱弄的晕头转向 ，明明感觉自己听到了，却不小心跳进了题目的坑里 。如果同学能够把握好雅思听力题干中的限定条件 ，那么就可以提前对陷阱做到防备，增加正确率。

　　雅思听力中的限定词

　　先来说说什么是限定词 ，限定词是在题干中的一些修饰词 ，一般包括时间（如 current /present /now /each year等 ），地点（Australia ，behind等 ） ，程度（maximum， up to 等），倾向喜好（prefer），打算（intend），括号（）等 。几乎在section1 到section4的 所有题中看到这些修饰词，应该引起足够的重视 ，提前判断这里可能会设置一个相关的梗 。具体举例如下 ：

　　01时间限定

　　例如：剑四test3 section1第3题

　　Present course_______English

　　做题前注意到题干中限定词present，就会知道 等下读的时候会在时间上出陷阱 ，原文是I was studying general English, but now I'm doing academic English, 陷阱general以was 引导出来， 答案对应现在的时间填academic。

　　又如剑四test4 u

　　section4 37

　　The average number of sharks caught in nets each year is （ ）.

　　A 15

　　B 150

　　C 1500

　　读题时关注到限定时间是each year， 注意对应这个时间抓的鲨鱼数量 。

　　'When meshing began ,approximately 1500 sharks were caught for the first year , however ,this declined in the years that followed , and since that time ,the average annual catch has been only about 150 a year'

　　我们可以看到 符合each year （a year） 条件的是 150，而1500 干扰项的时间限定是 for the first year。

　　02地点限定

　　剑五test2，section4，37题，

　　Average daily requirement for an adult in Antarctica is approximately 37___kilocalories .

　　读题时观察到题干中的限定条件 in Antarctica ，就提前小心会在地点方面做文章 ，本题的原文

　　'adult in the Uk will need 1700 kilocalories a day on average，while in Antarctica，will need 3500.' 陷阱出现是说在Uk的成年人是1700 ，Antarctica的是3500。答案对应限定Antarctica应该是3500.

　　03程度限定

　　剑五test2 section16

　　Computers can be booked up to 6____ hours in advance

　　读题时看到限定条件up to ,就知道这里可能会出陷阱，一般会列举好几个数字 ，心里想着抓最大的。

　　原文 'most people tend to book 24 hours in advance ,although sometimes you can get one within 6hours ,however ,the earliest you can get a computer is 48 hours, and you can only book one hour at a time ',大家可以看到，这里读了4个数字，而如果我们知道抓最大的一个48，其他的不会干扰到你。

　　04倾向打算限定

　　剑五test4 section 13

　　Intended length of stay 3_______

　　读题时注意到题干中的限定 intended，知道要抓打算的时间，

　　'I'm planning on staying a year, but at the moment I'm definitely here for four months only '

　　打算的时间1year ，实质只能住4个月就不会干扰到我们。

　　05（ ）限定条件

　　剑五test2 section1 3，4

　　Cost to join per year （without current student card ）: 3 ￡___________

　　Number of items allowed （members of public ） 4 ____________

　　看题时注意到（）限定 ，知道要抓符合括号里的条件的答案 ，即没有学生证的价格

　　'it's free for students here ,but otherwise it's 125 pounds a year ,or 25 pounds if you got a current student card from another college '我们看到出了3个数字 ，其中两个干扰 ，真正符合没有学生证这个条件的是125。
