1.Comparethe health advantages of working indoors and outdoors.
Okay, well, I would say that usually working indoors offers more advantages when
itcomes to health. It really depends on the job, of course. Working in a factoryis obviously very different from working in an office, but in general, if youare working indoors, chances are that your job will be more comfortable. Youmight get to sit down; in addition, you could probably regulate the temperaturein your office. On the other hand, working outdoors also comes with distinctadvantages.First, farmers, gardeners, construction workers or other engineerswho work outdoors can enjoy fresh air, especially if they work in thecountryside. They probably have more freedom too:they can move around, and theyare not confined restricted) to one small area only.
2.Compare the influence of parents and friends on young people.
Well,in my country, parents are more influential on their children than friends are.You
know,in China, people are quite traditional, and children are taught to listen totheir parents. Parents always have the last word, especially in terms of makingdecisions. But when it comes to talking about their problems, or their feelings,I think that young people will be
morelikely to confide in(=open their hearts to) their friends.I would say thatparents guide teenagers, while friends cheer them up.
3.Compare the popularity of national and international film stars in yourcountry.
Okay.In my country, although everyone watches foreign movies on a regular basis,
Istill think that national actors and actresses are the most famous. You know, inChina, we know of famous celebrities from Hollywood, but since they don't speakMandarin, they rarely give interviews for Chinese newspapers or TV programs. Sowe tend to know more about Chinese superstars. Also, another thing is that ourGovernment tries to limit the amount of foreign movies at the cinema and onnational channels, in order to promote more Chinese films instead.
4.Compare going on short trips with going on longer holidays.
Well, when you go on a short trip, you can't go too far. Your choices of adestination
arelimited. The most obvious advantage of taking a long holiday is that you willhave
moretime to appreciate your visits. You will definitely get to see a lot more thanif you were
onlygoing on a day-trip.On a short trip, you might be rushed, while on a long tripyou'll get plenty of time to relax and soak in(=think about) everything you seeand learn. However, as with anything, benefits do not come withoutconsequences.A longer vacation will definitely cost a lot more money.
5.Compare the advantages of having a big wedding and a small wedding.
Okay.Small weddings are more intimate(=private).I think that the most obviousadvantage to having a small ceremony is that the bride and the groom get totalk
toeveryone, and this will create a very special atmosphere, and enforce the bonds(=relationships) between everyone. On the other hand, a big wedding will be moreimpressive and striking. It also comes with the added benefit that no one willfeel left out from this special occasion, and the atmosphere could quitepossibly be more exciting. However, as with anything, benefits do not come forfree. Organizing a big event always costs a lot of money.6. Are there any disadvantages of beingpart of a community?
Yes,while there are many perks, there are also some disadvantages to being part of
acommunity. For example, your neighbors might know your schedule, and they willjudge
youif you come home very late, or if you go out at night without your wife (orhusband):
peoplegossip. In addition, being a member of a group also comes with its share ofobligations:you might need to take part in some activities that you wouldactually rather
avoid. You might need to attend some meetings or some boring get-togethers forexample,
aswell as take responsibility for organizing different events for the community. As with anything, benefits do not come for free.
7.What are the advantages and disadvantages of working as a journalist?
Thereare both distinct advantages and disadvantages to working as a journalist.
Firstof all, the job is fascinating, because journalists have to meet many peopleand travel
tomany different places in order to find out what's happening on the field. Inaddition, journalists or reporters can get invited to many significantevents. For example, when a new movie comes out, or when someone gives animportant speech, journalists will usually get
afree pass to get in. But on the flip side, being a journalist also comes withits share of disadvantages. The work is tiring and stressful. They must meetdeadlines, frequently

in.It's your turn to answer!
