　　今年夏天，我从外地过来的表弟到我家来暂住一段时间，我每天都在思考带他去哪里玩玩。就在某一天， 我听到一则新闻说，我们市的博物馆现在免费了。这毫无疑问对我来说是一条好新闻，之前博物馆的门票 非常昂贵，现在我们可以节省一笔钱，还能学到一些知识了。

　　This past summer, my cousin, who lives in another city, came to spend the summer at my house. Every day, I racked my brains to figure out (绞尽脑汁) where to take him. One day, I heard a piece of news that our city's museum now had free admission. I remember seeing the news online while I was making the schedule for the next day. While I was considering places that were meaningful and economical to visit, this news suddenly caught my attention. This was undoubtedly a very great piece of news for me, because museum tickets had been very expensive before. I had always longed to pay a visit, but the price of admission hadn't been affordable. Now we could save a lot of money, but also learn some new things. So, we went the next day and, from the moment we arrived (我们一到，就...), we found that there were more people going there than ever before.

　　Suddenly, I realized that in this way, the museum could fulfil its educational function to the fullest (充分发挥其教育功能). We spent the whole day there and learned a lot about history, science and technology. There were free guides in the museum, providing professional and useful explanations to us visitors. They were all volunteers from colleges. They were very enthusiastic and cheerful, giving us lots of practical assistance. I think providing free access to the museum (免费进入博物馆) is a wise move because it gives more people a free opportunity to learn.
