　　特殊场合的吃食

　　Why do some people grow their own food these days?

　　I think it's mainly because of the food safety issues. Agriculture is a major industry, so people go into this line aiming at high profits. Well, then we all know what happens, don't we? They cheat! Farmers use an excessive amount of weedicide and pesticide, in order to get a harvest and sell for good money. This just gets out of control in some places in the world, such as in China. Then of course, we just lose trust in the supermarket , and would rather make the effort to grow our own food if it is possible at all.

　　Do you think people should eat every meal with their family?

　　I don't think that is necessary at all. Of course, dining with family is a great way to build the connection, as we can catch up with one another at the kitchen table. It is like a luxury now to do so, given that the life pace is incredibly fast nowadays. However, it is almost impossible to eat every meal together. We all have got our own things to do, after all. Like, some children go to boarding schools, right? So it is unreasonable to assume that as a family, we must all eat every meal together.

　　What kinds of food are good for a party?

　　I think it will depend on what kind of party it is. If it is a Christmas party, I'd say, go for candies, chocolate, gingerbread and stuff like that. Christmas things, you know! So it feels right! However, if it is a birthday party, a birthday cake is definitely necessary, isn't it? And there should also be a variety of main dishes to cater for the guests. But then again, if it's a bachelor party, you know, I think it will get wild and probably mainly beverages, like beer, wine and etc. So yeah, the theme of the party matters. Party food should match the party theme.
