看到动物园老虎魔性转圈，我感觉我的雅思口语有救了......

　　疫情期间不能外出，不但人在家憋得无聊，动物园的老虎也很“难受”。

　　前两天，北京动物园孟加拉虎魔性转圈的事情就引来了四面八方的围观。一向威严庄重的老虎，难道也“难耐寂寞”，开始耍宝卖萌了？

　　很多网友提出，“动物园的动物在一个地方所待的时间长了，内心抑郁，出现了刻板行为”，希望动物园关注动物的生存环境。

　　随后，动物园回应：视频中的老虎是园内饲养的一只孟加拉白虎，视频非近期拍摄，饲养员早就注意到这只孟加拉白虎出现了刻板行为，3月下旬已经将动物收回后台进行行为矫正训练，目前该老虎状态已恢复良好。

　　作为一名隐匿在众多热心网友中的雅思口语老师，关注事件本身之外，我也发现了Animal这个话题在答题思路和话题串联方面的硬核功效，下面，我慢慢道来。

　　Part 1   Wild Animal

　　首先我们来看一下本季度Part 1话题 Wild Animal 中的问题。

　　问题1：What kind of wild animals do you like the most?

　　本题为Part 1常见题型1：What kind of … do you like the most?

　　对于wh Question，需要对wh疑问词（本题中为what）进行回应。同时，题中包含了the most，要具体到最喜欢这个点。

　　因此，可参考如下答题思路：列举+选择+原因+行动

　　①列举：我很喜欢这一类事物，建议不要超过3个，否则有一种说相声报菜名的感觉。

　　Well, I’m a/an___lover, and I’m a big fan of___,___and___.

　　②选择：挑选出最喜欢的一个，这里可以用一个虚拟语气来表达。

　　But If I had to pick one, it would be___.

　　③原因：用一对形容词来连接。

　　because they’re___and___.

　　④行动：我是如何喜欢的，最后，跟上which引导的定语从句。

　　I really love doing sth., which___.

　　现在，我们就以老虎为例，进行回答：

　　Well, I’m a wild animal lover, and I’m a big fan of tigers,elephants and kangaroos. But If I had to pick one, it would be tigers, because they’re powerful and swift. I really love watching them running after their prey in the wild, which is absolutely fantastic.

　　同学们可以将划线部分进行替换，构思自己的答案进行回答。回答完之后，不妨想想，下面两个问题你是不是也有思路了呢？

　　What kind of movies do you like the most?

　　What kind of water sports do you like the most?

　　问题2：Have you ever been to the zoo?

　　本题为Part 1常见题型2：Have you ever done sth.?

　　这是一个关于经历的Yes/No Question, 需要用是/否直接回答，同时这题侧重对过去式的考察，因此，答题时需要注意时态。答题思路可分为有经历和没经历两种：

　　a.有经历

　　Yes, I have. + 经历描述

　　经历描述中可包含时间、地点、人物、事情、感受，具体表达如下：

　　时间：last week/2 years ago/when I was in primary school

　　地点、人物：I went to 地点 with sb.

　　事情：We did sth.根据实际情况展开

　　感受：It was really a wonderful/terrible experience.

　　以去北京动物园看到老虎转圈为例：

　　Yes, I have.

　　Just last week, I went to the Beijing Zoo with my brother. (时间、地点、人物)

　　We walked around in the zoo and tried to take some photos, but most of the animals were not active at all. For example, there was a skinny tiger which was walking in circles, probably because of being caged for too long. (事情)

　　It was really a terrible experience. (感受)

　　b.无经历

　　Honestly, not even once. +原因+经历

　　原因：I’m not a big fan of ___, because every time I do sth., I just feel___.

　　经历：同上题思路。

　　还是以老虎转圈为例：

　　Honestly, not even once.

　　I’m not a big fan of the zoo, because every time I see animals being caged, I just feel sorry for them. (原因)

　　For example, last week, I saw a video online about a skinny tiger walking in circles in the Beijing Zoo, probably because of being caged for too long. (经历)

　　It was just terrible.（感受）

　　看完这题，大家再试着回答一下这两个问题呢？

　　Have you ever made cakes?

　　Have you ever visited an art gallery?

　　问题3：Do you prefer to see animals in the wild or in the zoo?

　　本题为Part 1常见题型3：Do you prefer A or B?从选择结果看，我们可以从3个方向思考：

　　a.两者都选，雨露均沾

　　Well, I’m cool with both. + A优点+B优点

　　Well, I’m cool with both.

　　I love going on a safari(在自然环境中观察野生动物) adventure because it gives me an opportunity to witness how they live in the wild. (A优点)

　　Also, it’s a good option to go to the zoo where I can see a huge variety of animals and don’t need to worry about safety. （B优点）

　　b.拒绝双方，分别吐槽

　　Honestly, I like neither. + A缺点+B缺点

　　Honestly, I like neither.

　　If I see animals in the wild, I’ll be scared to death. I mean, they might eat you for dinner. (A缺点)

　　And when it comes to watching animals in the zoo, all you can do is look at animals from a great distance. So, I’d rather watch them on YouTube or TV. (B缺点)

　　c.选择其一，优劣对比

　　Well, I’m more into A. +A优点+B缺点

　　Well, I’m more into seeing animals in the wild.

　　There’s nothing more fun than going on a safari adventure where you can cross paths with magnificent elephants. (A优点)

　　However, if you go to the zoo, you might find some animals are not active and even mentally ill. (B缺点)

　　思路捋一捋，选择题仿佛也没那么难了。那么，再用两个题给自己检测一下吧：

　　Do you prefer to drink tea or coffee?

　　Do you prefer natural parks or amusement parks?

　　Part 2   Interesting animal

　　说完了Part 1， 我们来看本季度Part 2有趣的动物这个话题 。

　　Describe an interesting animal you saw.

　　You should say:

　　what it looks like

　　when you saw it

　　where you saw it

　　and explain why it is interesting.

　　1、在回答这个话题之前，我们先看一下剑桥字典对animal这个词的定义：

　　第一个定义，人、鱼、鸟或昆虫之外，活着的能动的东西。第二个定义，任何活着的能动的东西，包括人、鸟等等。

　　乍一看，貌似天下苍生都可以说，但仔细一想，既然雅思官方出了这题，显然是考察特定类别的动物，总不能让我们说一个“有趣的人”吧。

　　更重要的是，有的考生因为回答了“鸟、鱼、昆虫”，而被考官无情打断，立刻即兴重新选择动物。因此，稳妥起见，我们可以选择一些四条腿的哺乳动物，比如：老虎、大象、袋鼠、考拉、旺财等等。

　　2、我们再看一下interesting的定义：

　　那么，定义中划横线的表达可以给我们哪些启发呢？

　　unusual：动物与众不同的体貌特征（熊猫眼、长颈鹿）和行为习惯（马站着睡觉、公袋鼠打人）

　　exciting, has a lot of ideas：动物的行为（马戏团老虎钻火圈）、与人的互动（旺财咬女主人的男票）

　　3、从实际情况看，关于这道题同学们的一个难点在于对动物的描述。

　　其实我们可以从大小、体重、皮毛、饮食、习性等方面进行介绍，这里给大家一些句型作为参考：

　　大小：This elephant is about 9 feet long and 7 feet tall. (1 feet=30.48cm)

　　体重：It weighs about 200 pounds, and a tiger like this can vary from 150 pounds and 250 pounds. (1 pound≈0.45kg)

　　皮毛：The coat(皮毛) of the husky（哈士奇）has two colors, gray and white.

　　饮食：It mainly feeds on（以…为食）bamboo but also eats insects and eggs.

　　习性：As far as I know, it’s probably the only animal that sleeps standing up.

　　同学们对划线部分进行替换，就可以形成自己的表达了。

　　话题串联

　　大家知道，每个季度都有50多道Part 2话题，只有对素材灵活运用，才能提高备考效率。

　　那我们看看Interesting Animal中的素材可以用于哪些话题：

　　A member in a team→动物园志愿者团队，看到有趣的动物

　　A family member you spend most time with→和家人经常去动物园，看有趣的动物

　　A person good at their job→动物园饲养员，介绍动物如何有趣

　　A crowded place→动物园人山人海，大家围观有趣的动物
