英国巴斯大学成立于1966年，校园坐落于联合国教科文组织认定的“世界遗产城市”巴斯一英里外。提供安全友好的学习环境，便利的学生服务和社交机会，运动设施也是世界一流的。在英国著名媒体泰晤士报，独立报和卫报发布的大学排名中巴斯大学均名列前茅。

巴斯大学规模相对较小，现有学生15,000人，2/3是本科生，1/3是研究生。超过25%的学生来自世界上其他100多个国家。91%的学生对课程感到满意，就学生满意度而言巴斯大学在英国排名前5。学生的本科学业完成率达92%，在英国属于最高水平。中国是巴斯大学目前最大的留学生源国，接下来依次是印度，德国，法国，塞浦路斯，西班牙，意大利，马来西亚，希腊，泰国等。校友群体超过8万人来自世界150个国家。

巴斯大学的校园俯瞰世界历史名城巴斯，屡获殊荣。校园占地面积200英亩，距离伦敦只有75分钟的路程。绿野之上的校园建有学生宿舍和一流的体育设施。

巴斯大学持续投资于校内基础设施建设，刚刚完成110万英镑的项目用于改善教学、研究、社交和居住空间。规划2014年新建投资10万英镑的艺术中心。位于校园核心的图书馆每天开放24小时。巴斯大学图书馆藏书五十万册，有21,000种电子书和13,000种期刊。

巴斯大学提供英国最安全的学习环境，是第一所通过国家警察再次认证被授予的安全奖项的大学校园。巴斯大学的科研关注于解决具有全球性影响的重点问题，如开发治疗乳腺癌的新药，和为福特开发节能型汽车。对于儿童贫困和支持弱势人群的创新研究的，赢得了2011年著名的女王周年纪念奖。
